Reasons why participation is essential to learning

Have we ever thought why participation is essential in learning? Is it essential for only students?

Well, lets explore the reasons why participation is essential to learn.

As an IB PYP educator, I believe when students participate in the class and get involved in the class with the teachers and peers they learn more effectively. Without participation in the class teachers also unable to identify whether the student has understand or not.

When students are participating they become more confident in sharing their thoughts and ideas. They are more confident to speak openly. It improve the communication skills and self management skills as well.

While participating in class, students can get the clear picture of the concept they are going through. They are more in it while they are participating.

Only teachers lecture in the class is placid. If the students are proactive in doing the learning it will become a great place to get the knowledge. When students are participating they are more exuberant.

When students are participating they are more contemplative and it will help them in the future career. Teachers also able to categorize students when they are participating in the class. So, class participation can be assessed to know about the students. Verities of ideas and information come up when every students participate in the class. The class become a place with full of positive vibe and knowledge when your students learn through participation.
